For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Christmas time is here again at Ichthus, a renowned international school in Jakarta! Everyone can feel the excitement in the air as they walk around our globally diverse campus. The sound of students singing Christmas carols in various languages and the big smiles on the faces of students from different cultural backgrounds as they practice for their performances truly encapsulate the spirit of an international community. What a wonderful time of year here at Ichthus.
Christmas is a time for us to stop, pause and be grateful. We have so many things to be thankful for, including the blessings of a smooth semester at school, for good health, and for the amazing Ichthus community that represents a melting pot of cultures typical of international schools in Jakarta. However, most importantly of all, we are thankful for Jesus, who came as a babe on Christmas day to give us the gift of eternal life. This multicultural environment enriches our understanding and celebration of this festive season, reminding us of the diverse ways in which Christmas is celebrated around the world.
As an international school in Jakarta, Ichthus is not just a place for academic learning but also a platform for cultural exchange and understanding. I would like to encourage everyone in our diverse community to use this Christmas season as an opportunity to share the good news with others, embracing the unique traditions and perspectives each culture brings.
Have a wonderful Christmas everyone, filled with the joy and unity that our international community at Ichthus so beautifully embodies.
Have a wonderful Christmas everyone 😊
