Mom’s Mission Trip at Panti Werdha Berea
Love and Service: Rising by Lifting Others
At Ichthus, serving others is a big part of our mission. In fact, one of our core values is Leadership—leading with a heart of a servant, leading by example, just as how Jesus did. In spirit of unity and love, our Bible Study group moms from the South Campus had a mission trip at Panti Werdha Berea.
At Panti Werdha Berea, our moms led the elderly to praise and worship together, played exciting games, and had intimate fellowship with every one of them, not letting anyone feel left out. This was the group’s second visit, so the elderly were happy to see familiar faces! As everyone bonded together, for a moment everyone was reminded of the joy of fellowship and what it means to be servants of the Lord. Seeing the smile on the faces of the elderly brought warmth to our hearts, and we are honoured to have had the opportunity to be a blessing for others as well.
Through the moms’ heartfelt service to the elderly during this mission trip, we are reminded that living out our faith means sharing Christ’s love through compassion and humility, nurturing the spirit of compassion and gratitude within our school community.
