Ichthus South Primary School Christmas Musical Curriculum Updates

It’s this time of the year again when the hearts are merry, the spirits are happy. Christmas is just around the corner, and there is something with the season that makes us feel warm and homey. The warmth of God’s great love is everywhere. At Ichthus School South Primary, a beacon among international schools in Jakarta, the gifts of talents and skills had come together in joyful celebration of the birth of Jesus. After months of preparation and practice, students, parents, and teachers had finally made it! Curtain was pulled up on the stage of Caringin Auditorium as they had presented the Ichthus South Primary School Christmas Musical on December 7, 2023.

The Primary School Musical is not only a part of the school’s annual Christmas concert but also a showcase of the diverse cultural tapestry that is a hallmark of international schools in Jakarta. Here, the whole school community celebrates the holiday season and the wonderful spirit of togetherness. This year, students played various roles in the musical. They brought life to stories as actors and actresses, sang their hearts out, grooved to the beat, played instruments, and a lot more. Their wishes and thoughts of Christmas, influenced by their diverse backgrounds typical of an international school in Jakarta, were reflected in their works which were exhibited on the walls of the auditorium. Class Moms joined in the celebration as they serenaded the audience with heart-warming Christmas songs. Teachers and staff hustle and bustle to make sure everything is put together, ensuring it will be an unforgettable morning for everyone.

That day, the auditorium hall at Ichthus School, representing the vibrant and inclusive community of international schools in Jakarta, was beaming with joy; a great moment to remember and to keep in everyone’s hearts.
